Our expanding farm team welcomes new farm vets into the fold.
We are excited to welcome Chantal Bryant to the team in Bakewell from Scarsdale Farm Vets. Chantal is an experienced vet with over 14 years in practice, starting out in mixed animal and spending the past eight years in farm. She brings with her a wealth of experience in the form of mastitis control planning, bull fertility testing, and preventative medicine on top of proven clinical and surgical skills in both cattle and sheep. Having spent the past eight years living in Belper, Chantal is very familiar with the Derbyshire area and the farming landscape in the region, making her the perfect new member of the team.
We also welcome Jake Thompson into the fold on a part-time basis. Jake is a qualified vet who is currently studying for his PhD at Nottingham University. When he isn’t working with the research team at the university, Jake will be supporting the clinical team at LLM with all aspects of farm work; sharing his broad cattle production knowledge with clients and the wider team.
Andrew says: “We’re very excited to have Chantal on board. Her depth of farm experience, knowledge and capabilities will complement our growing team, as well as the wider clinical group at LLM, so we cannot wait for her to get started. In addition to Jake working with us part time and out of hours, we can also announce that we have another experienced clinical vet, currently working in Derbyshire, joining us full time in January, but we will share more news on this nearer the time.”
On top of our new team member announcements, we have also secured a new medicine collection site in Ashbourne, to make it quicker and more convenient for you to collect medicines.
Andrew comments: “We hope that the new medicine collection point will be of huge benefit to our farmers in the area. Getting orders out quickly and on time is key for us, so having a closer collection point will make the process even more efficient. With so many things happening at the moment, the next couple of months is going to be really exciting.”
The new medicine collection point will be at Unit D, Ednaston Business Centre, Hollington Road, Ednaston, Ashbourne, Derbyshire DE6 3AE and will be open from 2nd November.
