We are lucky to have Sarah Hewitt from the University of Nottingham coming to speak on all things worms. Parasite management can be challenging on farm as pasture parasite contamination and infectivity are affected by lots of different factors. In this meeting we’ll discuss how to assess risk of parasite infestation of your herd/flock, how to treat appropriately if it’s required, and things we can do to avoid resistance developing. We’ll discuss an integrated approach to parasite management, including chemical and non-chemical strategies, and how an holistic approach can benefit livestock and the environment.
